The project team will:
- Educate themselves on the principles and practices of shared services.
- Screen and hire a consultant to support the project.
- Assist the executive oversight team in the selection of a new director.
- Develop survey instrument(s) to gather benchmark data on:
- Who is doing what work at what cost.
- Customer satisfaction with current business processes and other services.
- Develop a communications plan to keep the campus apprised of the project.
- Design and implement a shared services operation that focuses on early successes and remains open to expansion.
- Provide monthly progress reports to the executive oversight team.
- Operations are expected to begin by July 2008 with full operations in place by July 2009.
