The project team will:

• Educate themselves on the principles and practices of shared services.
• Screen and hire a consultant to support the project.
• Assist the executive oversight team in the selection of a new director.
• Develop survey instrument(s) to gather benchmark data on:
  • Who is doing what work at what cost.
  • Customer satisfaction with current business processes and other services.
• Develop a communications plan to keep the campus apprised of the project.
• Design and implement a shared services operation that focuses on early successes and remains open to expansion.
• Provide monthly progress reports to the executive oversight team.
• Operations are expected to begin by July 2008 with full operations in place by July 2009.
