Parents planning to attend Parents Weekend October 23-25, 2009 should be aware of the following parking restrictions during this weekend. All university lots on campus will open at 3 PM on Friday, October 23, 2009 to those without permits with the exception of red lots, blue lots, garages, and the areas noted below. These lots will remain open through the end of the day on Sunday, October 25, 2009. All vehicles must be parked within a regular non-metered, non-restricted space within the lot.
The following lots will be cleared beginning at 7 AM on Saturday, October 24, 2009. These lots will remain closed through the end of the day on Saturday, October 24, 2009 and therefore should be avoided. Lots 127 & 128: Outer Rings of Convocation CenterLots 132 & 133: Peden Stadium Lot 134: Walter Hall Please see the following link for a map detailing these lot closure locations (areas noted in red will be cleared at 7 AM on Saturday, October 24, 2009): http://www.facilities.ohiou.edu/parking/view.php?type=1&no=258&page=1 All vehicles including state vehicles will be towed from lots 127, 128, 132, 133, & 134 beginning at 7 AM on Saturday, October 24, 2009. State vehicles will be moved to Lot 93 by the Golf & Tennis Center at the department’s expense.
Please note the following lots will be used for event parking from 9 AM – 3 PM on Saturday, October 24, 2009 however, Parking Services will NOT be clearing these areas. Lots 81 & 82 (Clippinger Hall) Lot 84 (Clippinger Hall) Lots 111 & 112 (Baseball Fields) Lot 125 (Track Field) Lot 143 (Central Food Facility) Lots 145 & 148 (Facilities Management) Lot 147 (Human Resources) Lot 109 (Life Sciences) Lot 154 (HDL Center) *Additional lots may be added at a later date as needed depending on event scope. Please ensure your vehicle is not parked within an area designated to be cleared above to avoid having the vehicle cited/towed at the owner’s expense. Parking in the grass or an otherwise non-parking area is prohibited at all times and could result in a fine as well as possible immobilization/towing fees.
