Non-guaranteed Residential Surface Lot permits are valid in the specific lot(s) indicated on the permit only. During special events, various lots must be cleared for parking needs, which includes many of the lots where Non-guaranteed Residential Surface Lot Permits are sold. It is the responsibility of the student to be aware of these events and have their vehicle moved prior to the lot being cleared and or ticketed. Parking Services will make every effort to list events that will require lot clearing on the Special Events page. However, signs are posted at each lot prior to clearing, and the responsibility lies with the student to monitor lot clearing. If a vehicle is not moved for a special event, the vehicle will be ticketed and towed from the lot at the vehicle owner's/driver's expense.

Additionally, the Convocation Center Garage is used for the graduation ceremony. Permit holders for this garage will be asked to move their vehicles to an alternative location determined by Parking Services approximately one week prior to graduation (to allow cleaning of the garage and preparation). Notification typically will be sent via e-mail to the student's Oak Account. However, because of SPAM settings within e-mail accounts, this should not be considered the one source of information. Parking Services always posts all information regarding lot closings under the Home Tab, Announcements Link, of this Web Site.
