Parking Services does not have information regarding parking in or near the new dorm located on South Green at this time.
Garage permits are valid to the specific garage in which it was purchased only and are not valid in any other garages on campus. Permits must be requested online by going to: https://www.facilities.ohiou.edu/parking/permitsale/.
Please note that Jefferson Garage is prone to flooding during heavy periods of rain. As stated on the Jefferson Garage permits, permit holders should be prepared to move their vehicle from Jefferson Garage if flooding becomes a concern. Parking Services determines the areas in which Jefferson Garage permits will be honored when evacuation from this Garage is deemed necessary. If flooding becomes a concern, Parking Services should be contacted at 740-593-1917 to determine alternative parking areas.
Additionally, the Convocation Center Garage is used for the graduation ceremony. Permit holders for this garage will be asked to move their vehicles to an alternative location determined by Parking Services approximately one week prior to graduation (to allow cleaning of the garage and preparation). Notification typically will be sent via e-mail to the student's Oak Account. However, because of SPAM settings within e-mail accounts, this should not be considered the one source of information. Parking Services always posts all information regarding lot closings under the Home Tab, Announcements Link, of this Web Site.
PERMIT REPLACEMENT POLICY:
Students purchasing a permit must ensure they lock their vehicles to prevent theft. Reporting a permit as stolen requires a theft report from a police department. Either a copy of the report or the reporting officer's business card with the case number written on it must be presented to Parking Services to report a permit as stolen. Stolen permits that have been reported to a police office are replaced ONE time at no charge. Subsequent stolen permits may then only be replaced at the full price of the permit depending on the amount the permit is selling for at that time. Stolen permits with no report will be treated as a lost permit. Only 2 Stolen permits will be replaced per year.
Replacement permits for lost permits are replaced at full price depending on the amount the permit is selling for at that time. Only a total of one replacement permit will be issued per year.
