Vehicle Registration

Ohio University Faculty and Staff will be issued a faculty/staff hangtag during their orientation performed by Human Resources. If you did not receive a hangtag during your orientation, contact parking services at 740-593-1917. All faculty and staff are required to register their vehicle during this orientation; therefore, you must know your license plate number when you attend your orientation. Parking Services reserves the right to render a parking permit as invalid if a vehicle is not registered. Faculty/Staff hangtags are valid in any of the dark green or purple lots located across campus. Refer to the campus parking map for these lot locations.

This page should only be used to register a vehicle or motorcycle. Do not attempt to renew a permit or register the same vehicle or motorcycle more than once. However, an individual can register more than one vehicle or motorcycle by submitting the form more than once.

Faculty & Staff Motorcycles

Ohio University faculty and staff must register their motorcycle with Parking Services. All motorcycles must be parked in the designated motorcycle parking lots located in various locations across campus. All motorcycle lots are marked on the parking map with "MC". Refer to the campus parking map for more information.  A 3-wheeled bikes or "trike" is considered a motorycle and must abide by all motorcycle parking restrictions.

Faculty & Staff Bicycles

For security purposes, it is recommended that any bicycle that will be kept on campus be registered with the Ohio University Police Department. A description of the bicycle (or picture) is needed as well as the bicycle's serial number. Bicycle registration is maintained by the Ohio University Police Department.
