On-campus housing for the summer will be in Washington Hall on the East Green. Please note that Washington Hall, like all other buildings on campus, is a non-smoking facility. Washington Hall has double rooms, and triple rooms. Due to limited availability of rooms there is no guarantee of your first choice room selection.
Dining facilities for the summer will be in Nelson Dining Hall located on the South Green. The room and board rates are listed on the Summer Acceptance Agreement and Contract.
In-room Amenities
In-room amenities include twin size, extra-long beds, desk with desk chair, built-in dresser, closet space, small microwave/refrigerator unit, cable service, Ethernet jack and window air conditioners.
Computer Service Connectivity
All rooms will come standard with an Ethernet jack and cable as well as an Ethernet hub and enough extra cables for all roommates to be online simultaneously (doubles, triples and quads only). Wireless service is also available from Washington Hall.
Telephone
A local telephone line is included in each room with no charge for local service. Students should bring a phone with them to campus. Long-distance service is available with a Bobcat Calling Card account, which you can activate when you arrive on campus. You can also make collect calls or use your calling card from home. Please note that each student utilizing the Bobcat Calling Card will receive a separate monthly bill.
Microwave / Refrigerator / Freezer
Each room is equipped with a combination refrigerator/freezer and microwave unit. Please note that additional refrigerator units are not permitted.
Cable
The University's CATVision provides a full lineup of channels, which includes a movie channel, foreign language channels, and news from around the world. This cable service is available in each room at no additional charge. All that is needed is a cable-ready television and a coaxial cable.
Laundry
There is a central laundry facility located under Gamertsfelder Hall on the East Green. You can use Bobcat cash at this facility.
Parking
No charge for the summer. If you are not a first year student and are bringing a car to campus, you may park in any Purple or Dark Green lot on campus. Garage Parking is also free and available at the Convocation Center on the West Green and in Jefferson garage on the East Green.
Even though there is no charge for summer parking in the above mentioned locations, you are still required to register your vehicle online to be eligible to park on campus. Visit Parking Services on Factory Street or online at www.facilities.ohiou.edu/parking/.
Dining Services
- Dining facilities for the summer will be in Nelson Dining Hall. The board rates are listed on the Summer Acceptance Agreement and Contract.
- Students residing on campus with less than 90 earned undergraduate credit hours are required to participate in one of the university meal plans (10, 14, 20, Super 14, or Super 20 Meal Plan).
- A Block 20 or ROOM ONLY plan is available to anyone with more than 90 earned credit hours.
- Credit is not given for meals missed.
- Meal plans are not transferable.
- Meal plans cannot be reduced after the first day of classes.

- All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Housing Office. Students paying for both summer sessions will receive a full refund for the second summer session if cancellation is received by the Housing Office in writing prior to the last business day before classes begin.
