  • The 14 halls on East Green were built in the 1940s and 50's. They are all traditional-style residence halls with shared community bathrooms. Some of the halls have their own laundry facilities. Students in other halls are served by a large laundry and vending center in the basement of Gamertsfelder.
  • Bryan, Scott and Voigt are administered as part of the East Green, although they are located on the main College Green. All three have their own laundry facilities. Bryan and Scott are reserved for upperclass students. Voigt houses freshman and upperclass female students.  With their location on the main College Green, these halls are very popular as they are close to most academic and administrative buildings, Baker Center student union and the Uptown area of Athens.
  • Halls designated quiet study (QS) have additional importance placed on quiet hours, with a 24-hour quiet policy in place.
  • The green is served by two dining halls (Jefferson and Shively).
  • This green is closest to the College of Education, Department of Mathematics and the Schools of Music and Art.
  • Student kitchens are available to residents in Bryan and Voigt.
