Lofts Introduction
It is important to note that lofts may be utilized in most, but not all residence hall rooms. Be sure to read the information below to determine if your room will not accommodate a loft. If you are assigned to a triple, we recommend you wait until you arrive in the fall to decide if a loft will work in your particular room. Collegiate Concepts has been provided with room data to assist with your decision. Rented lofts must be returned the last week of classes spring quarter.
The following rooms have dormer (slanted ceilings and/or walls) and may not accommodate a loft. Those rooms listed in BOLD definitely will not take a loft:
East Green
- Biddle 302, 305, 306, and the entire 4th floor
- Bush 303, 304, 306, 331, 332, 334, and the entire 4th floor
- Gamertsfelder 319-322, 324, 343-354, 371-376, entire 4th floor
- Jefferson 301-304, 380, 382, 385-387, 390, entire 4th floor
- Lincoln (currently under construction)
- Perkins 302, 304, 306, 331, 332, 334, and the entire 4th floor
- Read 307, 323, 402, 406, 408
- Shively 234, 235, 240-244, 245-248, and the entire 3rd floor
- Tiffin 301-313, 315, 338, 340, 341, 344-352, and the entire 4th floor, except 410
- Voigt the entire 4th floor
- Washington 301-312, 343-347, and the entire 4th floor
NOTE: Biddle, Read and Johnson Halls have desks with shelves that do not fit under a loft. This limits room arrangement options.
South Green
In Brown, Crawford, Mackinnon, and Pickering, quads will not accommodate a loft in the sleeping room. Doubles may be limited to lofting depending on room dimensions.

West Green
