General Information

Rooms are furnished with beds, desks and chairs, freestanding or built-in dressers, and closet space. Most mattresses are 80 inches long and an extra-long twin sheet fits best.

Lofting

Lofts are permitted in most residence halls, but please note that some rooms (i.e., slanted-ceiling rooms) do not accommodate them. Rented lofts are not handled by the University but are available through a separate vendor. Students and/or parents are responsible for setting up and dismantling lofts from outside companies. Constructing a loft is another option. Approved building specifications are available upon request through the Residence Life office and the lofts section of this site. Curtain rods and pull shades are provided in most rooms. Exceptions include drapes for Bromley Hall, mini-blinds for the Convocation Center, and tension rods must be provided by students living in Read, Johnson, Biddle, or Adams Hall.

Please Note: all furnishings MUST remain in each room to which it was assigned.
