2008 Summer Housing
On campus housing for the summer will be in Gamertsfelder Hall on the East Green with an overflow to Bush Hall. Please note that Gamertsfelder and Bush Hall, like all other buildings on campus, are non-smoking facilities. Gamertsfelder and Bush Hall have double rooms, triple rooms and a few single rooms. Due to limited availability of rooms there is no guarantee of your first choice of room selection.
Dining facilities anticipated to be open for the summer is Nelson Dining Hall. The room and board rates are listed on the Summer Acceptance Agreement.
In-room amenities include twin size extra-long beds, desk with desk chair, built in dresser, closet space, small microwave/refrigerator unit, cable service, Ethernet jack and window air conditioners.
Contract Information
All undergraduate students with fewer than 90 credit hours or two academic years (six quarters, full-time enrollment) in the residence halls must reside in University owned housing and participate in the associated mandatory meal plan. Credit hours earned by students while attending high school (via advanced placement, Senate Bill 140, etc.) will not be considered toward exemption eligibility from the housing requirements. Computer Service Connectivity
All rooms will come standard with an Ethernet jack as well as an Ethernet hub and enough extra cables for all roommates to be online simultaneously (doubles, and triples only).
Wireless service is also available from Gamertsfelder and Bush Hall.
Telephone
A local telephone line is included in each room with no charge for local service. The student should bring a phone (answering machine optional) with them to campus. Long distance service is available with a Bobcat Calling Card account, which you can activate when you arrive on campus. You can also make collect calls or use your calling card from home. Please note that each student utilizing the Bobcat Calling Card will receive a separate monthly bill.
Microwave/Refrigerator/Freezer
Each room is equipped with a combination refrigerator/freezer and microwave unit. Please note that additional refrigerator units and microwaves are not permitted.
Cable
Ohio University's CATVision provides a full lineup of channels, which include a movie channel, foreign language channels, and news from around the world. This cable service is available in each room at no additional charge. All that is needed is a cable ready television and a coaxial cable.
Laundry
There is a central laundry facility located under Gamertsfelder Hall on the East Green. You can use Bobcat Cash at this facility.
Parking
If you are not a first year student and are bringing a car to campus, you may park in any purple or dark green lot on campus as long as it is not a metered space or requires a special permit (will be identified with a placard). Garage parking is also available under the Convocation Center on the West Green or under Jefferson residence hall on the East Green. Even though there is no charge for parking in the above mentioned locations during summer quarter, you must register your vehicle with Parking Services on-line at www.facilities.ohiou.edu/parking/students to be eligible to park on campus. Please refer to a campus parking map for locations of these parking options. You can view the map on Parking Services' Web site. There will be no charge for summer on-campus parking in purple or dark green lots.

Summer Meal Plan Information
Dining services for the summer are anticipated to be in Nelson Dining Hall. If you have purchased a meal plan, there are some general rules that apply to all meal plans.
You may not transfer or loan your photo ID card. You may use your card to enter a dining hall only once during a meal period. The meal week begins with the first meal served Sunday and ends with the final meal served Saturday. Meals are not transferable from one week to another. If you lose your card, immediately report it to the ID Card Services office at 740.593.1610 or the Ohio University Police Department at 740.593.1911.

Lunch Mon.-Sat. 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Brunch Sun. 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Dinner Mon.-Sun. 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Continental Breakfast will be offered Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Please Note: Dining hall hours on July 4 are to be decided. Students may need to arrange carryout meals on this date.
If you would like to know what is on the menu for any particular day, the information is available on the Housing Web page www.ohio.edu/housing (click on Dining Services), the entrance to the dining hall, and on your residence hall bulletin board. Detailed menu information and service hours will also be broadcast daily on CATVision, which airs on the Residence Hall Television Network - tune to channel 19. Should you have any questions concerning problems with your ID card, please check with the ID Card Services office at the HDL Center on Union Street. Refund Schedule
Refunds are made only for students who withdraw or do not attend Ohio University.
Prior to Hall Opening - 100%
Through 1st Week - 60%
Through 2nd Week - 40%
Through 3rd Week - No Refund
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Housing Office. Students paying for both summer sessions will receive a full refund for the second session if cancellation is received by the Housing Office in writing prior to the last business day before classes begin.
The university reserves the right to make changes in assigned facilities due to academic schedules and graduate and undergraduate class schedules; construction or capital repair and maintenance schedules and projects, acts of God, or changes in university facility use regulations. In the unlikely event that changes in assigned facilities becomes necessary, alternate university facilities will be assigned.
