Lost Card Policy
In accordance with the Ohio University Student Handbook, valid ID cards are required for anyone wishing to eat in the dining halls under a meal plan. If an ID card is lost or stolen, Dining Services will allow a student access to meal service for no more than three (3) days under the following conditions:
- Upon entering the dining hall the student must inform the dining hall manager that his/her card has been lost or stolen. The manager will verify that the student is on a meal plan. If the student is not on a meal plan he/she will be denied entrance to the dining hall.
- The dining hall manager will inform the ID office that the student's card has been lost or stolen. The ID office will deactivate the ID if the student has not already reported it lost or stolen. This is for the student's protection to prevent unauthorized use of the ID. Student ID's are the property of Ohio University and are not transferable.
- Within three (3) days of reporting a lost or stolen card the student must go to the ID office, 160 W. Union St. and either obtain a replacement ID or, if the ID is found, have the lost ID reactivated. There is no charge to reactivate a found ID.
- Until the student obtains a replacement ID, or finds the original ID and has it reactivated, he/she will be allowed to eat in the dining halls only. Bobcat Cash, Super Meal Plans and use of Grab 'n' Go is not possible once the lost ID is deactivated.
- Each time a student is allowed to enter a dining hall without an ID, he/she must sign the lost card log, located at the checker stand, and a copy of the lost card policy acknowledging these terms and conditions of Ohio University Dining Services' lost card policy.
- Failure to have a valid ID after three (3) days will result in being denied access to meal service in the dining halls.

Removing Food From Dining Halls
- To control costs, Dining Services cannot allow customers to remove food from the dining hall. We do allow customers to finish a piece of fruit, cookie, ice cream cone or other small item as they are leaving the hall.
- If you are pressed for time and the Grab 'n' Go is not convenient for you, please see a manager to sign-up for a sack meal.
- It is a violation of university policy to remove food from the dining halls. Students removing food from the dining halls will be referred to Judiciaries.
