	The Green House Project
	The Green House Project seeks to improve the efficiency of off-campus student rental units in the city of Athens while ensuring the health and safety of occupants. The project will serve a number of related goals: offsetting of Ohio University's carbon footprint as mandated by the Presidents Climate Commitment; reducing Athens' greenhouse gas emissions as directed by the Cool Cities Initiative; heightening awareness among Ohio University students and their landlords of the relationship between energy use, utility costs, and climate change; stimulating the use of energy-efficient practices and products; and improving the Athens city housing stock to make it more efficient, affordable, healthy, safe, durable, and comfortable.

	Applications forms are now being accepted for participating units. Please note that the application form includes questions for both student tenants and landlords.
