Conflict Management

Five Weeks Only (July 10 - August 9, 2007)

Develop effective communication skills and resolve problems in a nonconfrontational manner. Class includes discussion of theories and provides practical tips that show how to successfully communicate your point of view both personally and professionally. Learn how to listen effectively and avoid conversational disasters. This course fulfills the conflict resolution requirement for the Ohio University Apprentice Program core curriculum.

Special Topics: Troubleshooting Compressors

5 Weeks Only (August 1 - August 29, 2007)

Covers compressor operation, compressor types, intake filter, inter-coolers, after-coolers. Includes troubleshooting and repair techniques.

Covers general methods of welding: oxyacetylene, brazing, ARC, TIG, MIG, and Heliarc. Includes typical operations such as butt, lap, filler, and vee welds.

Microsoft Word

A hands-on course which presents the word processing component and lab assignments using the software package Microsoft Office (Word 2003). This course fulfills the computer requirement for the Apprentice Program core curriculum.

A hands-on course which presents the spreadsheet component of and lab assignments using the software package Microsoft Office. This course fulfills the computer requirement for the Apprentice Program core curriculum.
